Residency Requirement: On an annual basis, parents and guardians are required to submit/upload their residency documentation to prove district residency. Families who fail to submit or complete the residency process will have their student’s enrollment suspended until the office can verify their documents.
Residency Portal: Families will utilize their Skyward account to access the Residency Portal. The online Residency portal for the 2025-2026 school year will open on April 14, 2025, and close on June 4, 2025.
You will need the following documents in order to complete this process.
One (1) of the following: Group A
Most recent Real estate tax bill
Signed lease extending into 2025-26 school year
Mortgage statement (monthly)/ Payment book
Residency Attestation (Military Housing)
Step 1
Three (3) of the following: Group B
Gas bill
Cable bill
Electric bill
Water/Sewer bill
Phone bill
Bank or Credit Card Statement, Public Aid Card, or Medicaid Card
Access Skyward either by going to our website www.rbhs208.net and clicking on the “Skyward” link (NOT “Enroll New Student”) or by using the Skyward app on your mobile device.
If you are using the Skyward mobile app, you must choose “Open in Browser”. You cannot use the “Continue in App” option.
Click on the Skyward Family Access Login button.
Enter your Login ID / Password to sign in. If you don’t remember your login/password, or for incoming Freshmen, click “Forgot your Login/Password” and Skyward will send a login link to the email we have on file in Skyward.
Step 2
Once in, go to the left side of the screen and click on “Returning Student Residency” and click on the student’s name.
Read through the directions for completing the residency process and begin by clicking on the right side of the screen step 1 “Verify Residency Documents Groups A and B”.
Upload your Residency Documents (tax bill, lease, or mortgage statement, along with 3 bills) and click on “Complete Step 1 and move to Step 2a”.
In Steps 2 and 2a verify the information we have in Skyward is correct. You can edit any information that needs to be corrected such as phone numbers, addresses, and emergency contacts, then click on “Next Step”.
Review/answer the Opt Out questionnaire, and click on the next section.
The final step is to click on the “Submit Returning Student Residency” button.
You will receive an email letting you know that the process is complete and your application is under review.
Step 3:
Once your residency documents are approved, you will receive an email from Skyward.
Use that link to schedule an in-person appointment (dates below).
Families who do not receive a link are not approved to attend the in-person portion of Residency. (See below)
